Ello ello! I’m Meg… and I’ve always had a “slight” baking addiction.
As soon as I was able to stand I had my own stool in my Grandma's kitchen and the baking began! (Even if I could only just reach the wooden spoon...)
Making Grandpa his favourite lemon drizzle cake every week for about 10 years, this is where my love of baking began. I quickly graduated from the wooden spoon to the piping bags!
Since I was 13 I have been involved in the food industry. This started from competing in Regional and National young chef competitions. I was lucky enough to work alongside my mentor, Tommy Heaney, and gain hands-on experience in a professional kitchen.
This experience was a huge part of me building up the confidence to start meggobakes, and I can’t wait to see where this takes me!
